Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Ink & Design, Career Vault, Role Fit Analysis, and download plans.
Ink & Design is built around your Career Vault and a structured opportunity workflow. It first understands the specific role and how your real experience relates to it, then creates a Tailored Resume grounded in that experience. The goal is better positioning without inventing a career history you do not have.
No. Ink & Design should only use experience supported by your Career Vault. It can improve how that experience is selected, organized and written, but it should not fabricate jobs, achievements, skills, qualifications, responsibilities or metrics.
Ink & Design is designed for people across different professions, industries and career stages. It is not limited to one type of role or career path.
Your Career Vault is the reusable foundation of your Ink & Design account. It stores the real career information used when you explore opportunities, run Role Fit Analysis and create Tailored Resumes or Cover Letters.
No. Career Vault changes do not currently save automatically. Use Save to Career Vault after adding or changing information.
Yes. Career Vault remains accessible and editable even when you do not have an active Silver Key or Gold Key. Saving Career Vault changes uses zero generations.
Role Fit Analysis compares a specific opportunity with your Career Vault experience before Resume generation. It shows where your experience is closely relevant, where related experience may transfer, and where important gaps remain. It is not an ATS score or hiring prediction.
Career Opportunity Scan is an optional way to explore broader role directions using the experience already in your Career Vault. You do not need a Job Description, and it does not search live job openings.
A Tailored Resume does not need to include every part of your career history. Ink & Design focuses on the experience most useful for the specific opportunity, so some older or less relevant experience may receive less space or may not appear in the finished Resume. That experience still remains in your Career Vault. A different opportunity may make the same experience much more relevant.
Ink & Design offers Free, Silver Key and Gold Key. Current prices, durations and generation allowances are loaded from the governed plan catalog.
A Resume generation is used only when a new Tailored Resume is successfully completed. A Cover Letter generation is used only when a new Cover Letter is successfully completed. Failed generations use zero. Role Fit Analysis, Career Opportunity Scan, editing, saving edits, previews, restores and PDF downloads also use zero generations.
The Silver → Gold upgrade uses the current Gold Key price at the time of upgrade. Current upgrade price, threshold, destination allowances and duration are loaded from the governed plan catalog. A fresh destination Key starts immediately. Remaining Silver base generations do not carry forward, while unused purchased add-on generations do.
Your Career Vault, Saved Applications and previously created documents remain available to view. Paid Resume editing and new PDF downloads are locked until another eligible paid Key is active.
Ink & Design creates focused two-page Resumes with clean professional formatting and conventional sections. The Resume is tailored by selecting and positioning the real experience most relevant to the opportunity rather than trying to include everything in your Career Vault.
No. Ink & Design currently supports PDF downloads only. Word, DOCX, plain-text and TXT downloads are not currently available.
